Merge branch 'jc/bm' into next

* jc/bm:
  Allow branch.*.merge to talk about remote tracking branches.
  commit-tree: encourage UTF-8 commit messages.
  Switch git_mmap to use pread.
  Rename gitfakemmap to git_mmap.
  gitweb: Paginate commit/author/committer search output
  Makefile: add quick-install-doc for installing pre-built manpages
